Elbow Denervation

Elbow denervation provides pain relief for lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow).  Tennis elbow is a common issue of the lateral elbow.  Patients with tennis elbow may utilize non-surgical pain management options including bracing, activity modification, and therapy.  Denervation is one treatment option available to patients.

In 2013, Rose et al. published a clinical series of denervation for treatment of lateral epicondylitis.  Their results showed a quick return to function with improved pain after denervation of the lateral epicondyle.  While many options exist for lateral epicondylitis denervation is one tool healthcare providers may consider in treating this common issue.
